Duties & Responsibilities • Excellent understating and ability to apply Animation principles. • Create quality animation using digital tools for Series and other related projects. • Work closely with Animation Supervisors/Team Lead. • Plan shots with an understanding of storyline • Clearly show performance ideas and shot blocking in animation. • Implement changes and finish the shots in accordance with production schedule • Maintain an open and professional demeanour regarding direction, changes and change of requirements Required Skills & Experience • Exceptional skill in animating the bipeds, quadruped well as other organic / inorganic forms • A solid grasp of the principles of body movement, anticipation, overshoot, follow-through, squash and stretch, forward/inverse kinematics, and other facets of both 2D and 3D animation • A thorough understanding of animation pipelines and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude • Experience and proficiency in Maya or equivalent 3D software required • Need to be very proactive in fast pace production.
Job Description: • Work with the Rigging Lead/Supervisor to establish a rig that fully supports an animation style that reflects the tone of the film and maintain the style throughout the film. • Work to create top quality body and facial rigs that meet the desired quality and style. • Work closely with the Animation Team to ensure that the productions need is understood and met, and that animators have fast, efficient, intuitive puppets • Create and adjust rigging standards. • Provide creative ideas and solutions for the film on both a visual and technical level. • Be a key contributor to create an engaging animated film of top quality, while managing and reducing the complexities of production. • Be able to flag and solve potential problems to stay on schedule. Profile Requirement: • Experience working in the animation industry as a Rigging artist. • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of CG, pipeline and associated software/plugins. • Experience in a variety of Maya rigging techniques, and the ability to optimize performance of rigs. • Advanced hero character rigging experience with a Maya based pipeline. • Must be able to take direction. • Expert in Maya, with strong skills in MEL and Python scripting. • Good communication skills are and excellent team player. • A creative problem-solver.
Responsibilities: • Should have proficient knowledge in Photoshop, and knowledge of Substance Painter will be an added advantage. • Should have abilities and understanding to create organic and inorganic textures. • Should be good with matt painting and environment image plates. • Should work closely with Modelling and Lighting department. • Should collaborate with lighting team while creating textures. • Should have the knowledge to create physical shaders and shading networks. • Ability to work under fast paced production and crunch deadlines. • Creative and Technical problem solving skill is plus.
